Science-driven athletic apparel – Over+Above

Over+Above is a sports performance brand that sits at the cross section of sports science and technology.  Chris led as Head of Innovation in development of a full range of functional compression apparel integrating OA’s patented ProPrio System, designed to support movement & enhance performance through proprioception, as well as running collaborations on product validation & athlete testing, managing website & e-commerce platforms, and managing sourcing, prototyping, sampling, and production across the business.

The majority of major brands offer a range of compression garments for both men and women – in most there is little or no innovation relating to performance & recovery.  People are now starting to demand more from their apparel.

Over+Above create high-end technical garments that help you push boundaries, pairing kinesiology insight and patented technology to engineer apparel that serves as a support system for conscious athletic performance.

Taking the IP created through Exosuit, Over+Above was founded on patented athletic apparel engineered to tap into your sixth sense, supporting your body during exercise to unlock improved control, efficiency, and reductions in fatigue.

We developed the Reflex range alongside athletes and biomechanics experts – a full set of technical garments for men and women, including full and half tights, tops, calf sleeves, and arm sleeves for throwing and racket sports.

Over+Above apparel has been worn in the Rugby World Cup, The Ashes, The Marathon des Sables, and the Hyrox World Championships, as well as forming an essential part of training & race day kit for runners and triathletes across the world.

We’ve featured in GQ, The Independent, Marie Claire, Women’s Health, and The Fashion Network, described as “the best for athletic performance”,  “pioneering”, and “a new tech-backed challenger”.  Over+Above continues to grow commercially to this day, with product available to elite and amateur athletes across the world.
