Sport is the constant, the context changes.
We work with sports brands, teams, and founders building innovative products, technologies, and systems for athletes.
We plug in where you need us most – shaping product development, testing with athletes, clarifying your position in the market, or supporting the strategy around the business.
If you’re building something ambitious in the sports world and want it to perform on the biggest stage – let’s talk.
Sports & performance brands
Apparel, equipment, and innovation teams creating or refining products & systems for performance sport. We help you connect athlete needs, R&D, and market reality so you can launch & scale with confidence.
Startups & young businesses
Early-stage founders with a strong concept but limited bandwidth for product, research, and strategy. We help you prioritise, design evidence-led next steps, and turn limited resources into meaningful progress.
Elite teams & organisations
Federations, clubs, and academies looking to get more from technology & athlete testing. We help you choose & implement the right tools, and design programmes that add value where it matters most.
Four ways we plug
into your work.
Product & apparel innovation
Define what you're building
We work with you to sharpen who the product is for, what it needs to do in the real world, and the specific problems it’s addressing.
Shape prototypes & features
We collaborate on design options, use cases, and form factors so early prototypes are focused, testable, and built around real use.
Set a development roadmap
We organise ideas into clear priorities, experiments, and timelines that fit your resources and wider product strategy. You can see an example of this in our work with Over+Above.
Athlete testing & research
Design athlete-first testing
We co-design protocols that fit how your athletes train and compete – whether we’re testing a product or profiling athletes to understand performance.
Test products & athletes in context
We help you run practical research that puts products, athletes, and environments together, so you see how things behave under realistic conditions. You can see an example of this in our work with England Cricket.
Turn data into decisions
We interpret the data with you and translate it into clear product decisions, performance insights, and prioritised next steps.
Customer & market positioning
Define your audience
We zoom in on the athletes, coaches, and buyers you’re targeting, and how your product fits into their world. You can see an examples of this in our work with Queen’s University Belfast.
Connect product, proof, and story
We tie together your product, the evidence behind it, and the benefits it delivers into impactful value propositions and messaging.
Focus your go-to-market
We help you decide where to show up, what to say, and what to measure, so your launch and early growth efforts pull in the same direction.
Strategy & founder support
Build product & evidence roadmaps
We work with you to sequence features, studies, and milestones so product development and validation keep pace with your ambition.
Stress-test key decisions
We act as a sounding board on product, research, and commercial choices, exploring options and trade-offs before you commit. You can see an example of this in our work with Stonarke.
Stay aligned as you grow
We provide ongoing support to keep athletes, product, science, and business needs connected, so building momentum doesn’t mean losing focus.
Support that fits your stage.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all retainers. Instead, we shape the engagement around the questions you’re trying to answer – picking from scoped projects, short sprints, fractional support, or advisory sessions depending on your needs.
That way the level of support matches your stage, your team, and the decisions you need to make next.
Scoped projects
We define a specific piece of work together - a product push, a testing block, a positioning problem, or a strategic question - and run it as a project with agreed scope, timelines, and deliverables. Best when there's a clear outcome you want to achieve over several weeks or months.
Short sprints
We focus on a single question over a short period - typically a week or two. That might be stress-testing a concept, designing the right study, or reviewing your current plan. Best when you need fast, honest input to move forwards, not a full project.
Fractional support
We agree a set amount of time each month and plug into your product, testing, and strategy work on a rolling basis. That can mean regular meetings, shaping roadmaps, reviewing results, and being available as things evolve. Best when you want ongoing involvement without a full-time hire.
Advisory sessions
We set up a cadence of calls - for example monthly or fortnightly - to work through your biggest questions, plans, and trade-offs. Light on process, heavy on thinking time. Best when you need a trusted external voice to talk things through, sense-check ideas, and keep momentum.
Clear process from
idea to action.
1. Intro call
A short call to get a feel for what you’re working on, where you are in the journey, and whether we’re the right people to support. If I’m not, chances are I’ll know someone who can help.
2. Discovery stage
If it makes sense to continue we dig into the detail – athletes, product, existing data, constraints, timelines, and stakeholders. This might be another call, shared docs, or an in-person session.
3. Project design
We agree the key questions we’re trying to answer and choose the right format – a scoped project, sprint, fractional support, or advisory – with clear outcomes, timelines, and responsibilities.
4. Delivery phase
We plug in and get moving quickly. With regular contact you’ll know what’s happening, what’s coming next, and how the work ties back to your athletes, product, or wider strategy.
What it’s like to collaborate.
